Rev. Logan Garth Swanger, OSL, is an ordained elder in the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1978. He has served Jesus Christ at Shiremanstown United Methodist Church since July 2011.

He is an Honor graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, Mifflinburg, PA; a magna cum laude graduate of Albright College, Reading, PA; and a magna cum laude graduate of Drew Theological School, Madison, NJ.

Since 1979, he has been a member of The Order of Saint Luke, a religious order in the United Methodist Church dedicated to sacramental and liturgical scholarship, education and practice. He was the first Prior of the Susquehanna Chapter of the OSL.

He is married to Pai Ann, and has two grown sons.




Ken has been a full time employee of SUMC since 1999 and a member since 1982.  He began the Circle of Friends Child Care Center and S.U.M.mer Camp programs.  Ken wears many hats in the Administration of the Church.  He’ll be the first to tell you that he has been truly blessed to serve Christ and others and is very grateful for the leadership and membership of SUMC.

Ken enjoys relaxing on his back porch with a good book and his wife, Amy.  He is very proud of his daughter Katlyn Grace, who is an Elementary Art Teacher in the Allentown School District and his son, Andrew, Director of Photography and Editor for The Coalescent.
