Leadership

Pastor

Pastor Jane Keller
A native of Carlisle, Pa. I graduated from Carlisle Area School District. My formal education includes a degree in Business Administration as well as various certifications in Leadership and Supervision earned during 25+ years in corporate and non-profit employment. I am currently a 5
th year Course of Study student at Wesley Seminary. In 1993 I was blessed with the opportunity to serve on a United Methodist Work Team in Dutch Harbor, Alaska where I clearly saw Christ through team members and the community with whom I worked side by side. There my perception of life was changed and the Holy Spirit was clearly on a mission within me to lead to full-time ministry.

Toward that mission, God opened many doors as I served in my home Church, the former Grace United Methodist, Carlisle, including development of a pre-youth program, serving as Stephen Ministry leader and coordinating Small Group Ministries. A passion for welcoming people into God’s House and developing creative worship grew as I served as Coordinator of Contemporary Worship. Serving as Director of a Christian-based sports program, UPWARD, God placed a deep burden on my heart for sharing the love of Jesus Christ to children, particularly those who have not been blessed with spiritual teaching nor experienced the love of God.

In 2015, I was licensed as a Local Pastor through the Susquehanna Conference. While appointed part-time at Hopewell UMC in Newburg, a reorganization of leadership-style was developed, children’s ministry and Monthly Family Fellowship activities created as well as various outreach ministries such as One Day Bible Schools and Mission opportunities.

My family and I join you from Paddletown, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Etters. During our time in Etters, outreach to the community was extended through UPWARD Sports, Summer Picnic in the Park Ministry, Bible Studies and participation in National Night Out.

My son, Zachary, anticipates graduation later this month from Reading Hospital Paramedical Program and looks forward to marriage this fall. My daughter, Hannah, recently graduated from High School and will attend College this fall majoring in Elementary and Special Education. We covet your prayers in these months of transition as we join your community of faith and hold you close in prayer during this time.

“I look to the hills, and where does my strength come?  My strength comes from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth.” (Psalm 121). May you find strength in our Lord in these unprecedented days in which we travel and as we eagerly begin our journey together.
